Apple and Pear Sauce

One of my all time favorites with a big bowl of oatmeal 🙂

Ingredients

Scale

4 apples, peeled and cored (I used Gala)

3 pears, peeled and cored (I used Bosc)

Zest and juice of 2 oranges (I used Navel)

Zest and Juice of a lemon

1 tablespoon Maple Syrup

1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a saucepan.

Bring to a simmer, cover, allow to cook on a low simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the apples and pears are tender.

Remove from heat, use a hand whisk to gently break up the chunks. Serve or place in the fridge for later use.
