Baked Peaches with Lavender pin

A delicious and very simple summery dessert

Ingredients

Scale

3 peaches

1 cup white or rose wine

1 cup of water

1 tablespoon of honey, or date or maple syrup

4 sprigs of culinary lavender

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400F
  2. Half the peaches and discard the pits, keep the skin on. Place the halved peaches in an oven-proof dish.
  3. Mix the wine, water, and honey (or date or maple syrup if substituting.) Pour the wine mixture over the peaches. Scatter the lavender on top. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, baste then bake for a further 10-20 minutes until the fruit is just tender.
