What’s in this Vegan Turmeric Latte?
- your favorite non-dairy milk
- fresh or ground ginger
- fresh or ground turmeric
- cinnamon stick
- cardamon pods
- star anise
- black pepper
- vanilla extract
- Date Syrup or maple syrup
Should I Use Fresh or Ground Ginger and Turmeric?
If you don’t have, or can’t find fresh ginger and turmeric please use ground. Don’t feel you have to rush out and buy fresh or that it will somehow taste second best without. Ground is excellent! As a rule of thumb, I use 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger for every tablespoon of freshly grated and 1 teaspoon ground turmeric for every tablespoon of grated fresh.
Play with the flavors. Don’t like ginger? dial it down. Perhaps the turmeric is too much for you, in which case scale it back. If you want it extra sweet add more date syrup etc.
What equipment do I need to make this Vegan Turmeric Latte?
Well, it’s not strictly necessary but a frother wand is SO fun to use! Otherwise, use a regular balloon whisk or you can whiz it up in a blender.
